Tamil Nadu farmers protest at Jantar Mantar with the skulls of Dead farmers


◄ 150 Farmers from Tamil Nadu protest with skulls of fellow dead farmers for Issue of Tamil Nadu Delta turning into desert at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
◄ Farmers from Tamil Nadu who had been protesting at Jantar Mantar, wearing green dhotis and carrying skulls of allegedly other farmers who have committed suicide in the face of what has been reportedly called one of the worst droughts in the states, have temporarily called off their movement.
◄ The drought in Tamil Nadu, which was officially declared on January 10, 2017, is worse in over 140 years. The National Human Rights Commission also said the issue of farmer suicide in drought-hit Tamil Nadu is a matter of concern.
